It is a warm and muggy Thursday Morning across the Baton Rouge area. We have partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the 70s.
A cold front will be moving into Louisiana from the northwest today. This will tap into the hot and humid air mass that will be sitting over Baton Rouge and that will spark off scattered shower and thunderstorms. Some of the storms this afternoon could be strong to possibly severe. SPC has a Slight Risk out for the northern part of the WBRZ Viewing area today into tonight. The main threat will be damaging winds, but some hail will also be possible. High temperatures before the storms pop-up will be around 90.
The rain and storms will continue tonight as the cold front moves into the city. Some of these storms could also be strong to severe with damaging winds and hail. Lows will be in the upper 60s.
I have all the details on 2une In right now. Check us out!
