Today & Tonight: Round one of showers and storms, that occurred overnight, will settle down through the morning. While skies will remain mostly cloudy, a few peeks of sun, a muggy beginning to the day and a moisture-laden air mass will allow thermometers to jump into the upper 70s and lower 80s. A late-spring to early-summer feel can be expected with dew points riding in the upper 60s. These conditions will allow the atmosphere to recharge. As a cold front approaches in the afternoon and evening the next round of showers and thunderstorms will develop. Especially in the evening and overnight, some of the storms could be strong or severe with damaging winds and large hail. Look for showers and storms to wrap up as the front clears by Saturday Morning.
Weekend Outlook: Summing it up simply... take advantage! Beyond the cold front, skies will clear and humidity will drop but thermometers won't suffer much of a blow. Saturday Afternoon will feature sunshine with a high in the low to mid 70s. More of the same is in the forecast for Sunday; although the morning will begin slightly cool, in the upper 40s.
