It is a much quieter start to the day around the Baton Rouge area. We have mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with patchy fog. It is mild and muggy with temperatures in the 60s.
We will see the fog dissipate and the clouds lift by lunchtime, and then we will have partly cloudy skies. Along the coast is a weak boundary that will be the focus for isolated showers and storms to pop-up with the daytime heating today as it drifts northward. It will act like a sea breeze front. The overall coverage of storms will be much less than yesterday. We will have a very warm and humid day with highs in the lower 80s.
Any storm will dissipate once the sunsets, and we will have mostly cloudy skies overnight. Patchy dense fog can be expected too. Lows will be in the lower 60s.
