Movie shoot to close streets, exit ramp today
BATON ROUGE - Streets will be closed intermittently for a movie shoot in downtown Baton Rouge today.
Nicholas Cage stars in "Left Behind," based on the Christian novels about life after the Rapture.
Filming is underway on Third Street between north Boulevard and Convention Street. Parking is also restricted in the 100-200 blocks of North 3rd St., 300 block of Convention St. and 100 block of Lafayette St.
Filming in this area is scheduled until 7:00 p.m. The movie production will then move to Interstate 110 at 8:00 p.m., where the Florida Street exit ramp will be closed.
There will also be intermittent street closures on North 10th Street between Convention and Laurel streets.
"Left Behind" will continue production in East Baton Rouge Parish over the next four weeks.
