BATON ROUGE- A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday on Airline Highway.
State Police said Kyle J. Meyers was killed when a driver pulled out in front of him.
According to Troopers, Meyers was headed south on Airline Highway when the other driver turned out of a parking lot, and into traffic. Meyers wasn't able to stop before hitting the vehicle, and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Meyers was wearing a helmet, but was pronounced deceased at the scene by the coroner's office.
Troopers do not suspect impairment to have been a factor in this crash on the part of either driver; however, routine toxicology samples have been obtained from both drivers involved.
