Motorcyclist dead after I-10 crash with SUV
ST. TAMMANY - Louisiana State Police said a Slidell man died after crashing into an SUV on I-10 Sunday night.
Investigators said that 29-year-old Joshua Roberts of Slidell was traveling eastbound on his motorcycle when he rear-ended an SUV. Roberts lost control of his bike and was thrown from it, police said.
State troopers said Roberts was wearing a DOT-approved helmet, but he died from his injuries. The driver of the SUV was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.
Police said they are awaiting the results of a toxicological analysis of Roberts' blood and that it is unknown whether impairment was a factor in the wreck.
