Mother, son arrested in Port Allen shooting
PORT ALLEN - Investigators arrested a woman and her son Thursday in connection with a recent shooting in Port Allen.
Police charged Terrance Tillman, 22, and Edith Tillman, 43, in connection with the shooting on Aug. 14 at the basketball courts on 14th and Maryland.
Investigators said Edith Tillman was involved in an earlier altercation with people playing basketball at the courts. Police said she told them she was "going to get her people," and later came back with her son and a second, unidentified person.
Police said the unidentified person fired multiple times at the group, hitting one.
Officers charged both Tillmans with being principal to attempted second-degree murder. They said they're still searching for the shooter.
