Mother, child killed in Okla. tornadoes
OKLAHOMA CITY- Authorities said a mother and a child were killed when tornadoes slammed this part of Oklahoma again Friday.
State Highway Patrol found the bodies near a vehicle along I-40 west of the city. Tornadoes hit the city and suburbs, crumbling cars and tossing tractor-trailers during the evening rush.
To the south, winds approaching 80 mph were forecast for Moore, where a top-of-the-scale EF5 tornado killed 24 on May 20.
Hours after the storm, officials said five people were killed Friday evening.
