Morning fires keep firefighters busy in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - Fire officials in Baton Rouge are investigating two separate fire calls that came in early Thursday morning.
The first fire broke out just after 5 a.m. at a home in the 8900 block of Rickwood Dr. off Staring Ln. When crews arrived to the scene, heavy smoke was coming from the home.
About an hour later, firefighters responded to a reported fire at a business on Plank Rd. near Huron St. The business was not open at the time.
Both fires are under investigation.
No injuries reported in either incident.
