MORGAN CITY- People in this South Louisiana city are sweating again after another power failure.
A week ago, a transformer exploded leaving virtually everyone on the city power grid in the dark. Since then, crews have been working to install a new transformer and power has been supplied from generators.
According to the Morgan City Facebook page, those units tripped Tuesday afternoon, knocking out power again.
A post indicates work to transfer power to the transformer has been "sped up." But, there won't be any immediate relief. The transfer is expected to take three hours.
