More than $1M in bogus checks passed nationwide
Bossier Parish deputies say Charles Bradford who allegedly got $1 million in bogus checks cashed to gamble at casinos nationwide is in the parish jail.
Thirteen locals were arrested and more arrests are expected.
The sheriff's department says the suspects were recruited over three years when Bradford was in and out of Bossier City.
Bradford would allegedly go to a casino city or town, counterfeit checks of local businesses, and recruit people to cash them.
After Bradford's arrest, investigators learned the Secret Service wanted him for similar schemes in Arkansas, California, Florida, Kansas and Ohio.
