BATON ROUGE - More than one thousand residents have lost electricity near downtown Baton Rouge Tuesday.

According to Entergy, around 1,100 residents were affected by outages along Government Street near the S Acadian Thruway around 4:45 in the afternoon.

Entergy says it expects to have power restored to the area by 7 o'clock.
