Wyoming and Utah plan to join Montana in a lawsuit against the federal government over regulating guns that are made and sold in the same state. Other states may sign on as well. Those states have adopted "firearms freedom" laws that say the federal government can't regulate guns made and sold within their borders. The U.S. Department of Justice argues the states lack authority to exempt guns from national gun control laws.
