WBRZ - Baton Rouge

Showers and thunderstorms are popping up all round the Baton Rouge area. Some will be strong with heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent lightning strikes. Some minor flooding will be possible. High temperatures have already been hit before the rain started as they climbed into the upper 80s.

The rain and storms will continue through the evening hours with temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Overnight, it will be mostly cloudy with some stray showers toward daybreak. Low temperatures will fall to the mid 70s.
