More scattered showers and thunderstorms
You can expect today to be similar to Thursday's weather, but calling for less coverage, around 60%. We will stay out of the 90's today thanks to the cloud cover and scattered rain activity, but it will still stay sticky and humid. Some heavier rain moved across the homes of our viewers toward the west this morning. Things will quiet down a bit in the late morning, with the possibility of some light shower activity, then things will pick up again by the afternoon. We could see a little sun peeking through briefly today, but that will only enhance our chances for thunderstorms due to daytime heating. Things should quiet down this evening sooner than what we experienced yesterday. Overall, I hope you have your umbrella with you. This weekend, we will keep rain chances in the forecast, but much lower, and lowering them even further by the beginning of next week.
The tropics are quiet and we don't expect anything to develop within the next 2 days.
