More restrictions for area door-to-door salespeople
GONZALES- Door-to-door sales are restricted after Thursday's council meeting in Ascension Parish.
A special permit will be needed, sale items will need prior approval and so would locations of where salespeople want to knock on doors.
"It will make me feel safer," Terrance Pierre said. Pierre said he likes the idea of knowing what people are selling and who they work for.
People have been complaining about salespeople recently.
Groups like the Girl Scouts are exempt.
There have also been complains of trouble with salespeople in West Feliciana Parish. But, problems subsided when the sheriff got involved.
There are already restrictions in Baton Rouge.
