We start this Monday Morning with more scattered showers and some heavy rain. It is pretty chilly with temperatures in the lower 40s. Better take your warm coat and umbrella with you today!
The showers and a few thunderstorms will continue this afternoon thanks to a stationary front that is sitting along the Louisiana and Mississippi Coasts. Upper-level winds are coming out of the southwest and that is drawing up moisture from the Pacific and Gulf. Additionally, disturbances are moving along the front and all of this is leading to another wet afternoon. Some heavy rain will be possible that will continue to cause some flooding. It will be a chilly day with high temperatures in the upper 40s.
The showers will continue tonight and it will be cold with lows in the upper 30s.
River Stages: Due to the heavy rain we had last week, and the additional rains expected this week, the rivers are expected to stay high and flood. For the latest information on local river stages, go to wbrz.com/links
