More Questions about Chronic Fatigue
The journal Science took the unusual step of saying any link between a virus and chronic fatigue is "seriously in question" making researchers who first found a possible link defend their work. It's another blow to people who suffer from the mysterious illness and who hoped finding a cause would lead to a cure. Now an association of people who have the syndrome says it will wait for more detailed studies from the National Institutes of Health. A researcher involved in one of the studies that found no link with a virus warns people who use anti-viral drugs to deal with the condition should stop. He says the drugs are not "totally harmless."
