More guns at TSA checkpoints
WASHINGTON- The number of guns confiscated by TSA agents at airport checkpoints is on the rise.
Last year, 1,828 guns were found compared to 1,123 in 2010.
The most were confiscated at Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International followed by Dallas-Fort Worth.
The policy is that guns,ammunition and gun parts can't be in carry-on baggage.
Unloaded firearms, stored in locked, hard-sided containers can be placed and transported as checked baggage.
