The East Baton Rouge Parish Public Works Department is considering an expansion of its GPS tracking system. 16 vehicles currently have the monitoring system which allows supervisors to know exactly where a vehicle is located. Hundreds of other vehicles could be added to the program in the next years. Lafaeytte is considering a similar program for public vehicles costing nearly $400,000.
