BATON ROUGE- More debate is expected this week as the Metro Council considers plans for a new downtown library.
It is part of ongoing city-parish budget talks.
Some groups like the Baton Rouge Tea Party have mounted opposition saying the plan is a waste of taxpayer money.
Library supporters say a new buildings are what the library system promised when a tax was passed five years ago. I'll give you both sides tonight on News 2.
