BAYOU CORNE - More gas bubbles were found in Grand Bayou, according to the Assumption Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

Officials say the bubbling is small and will be monitored daily as the others are.

Clean up at the sinkhole site is still suspended.

The parish has requested Texas Brine to provide a plan for a continuation of the cleanup.

Residents will be updated on the sinkhole and drilling operations on Friday, Aug., 24 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is at St. Joseph the Worker Church Hall in Pierre Part.
