More arrests expected in child rape case
WILSON - Two people have been arrested in connection with a child sex ring bust, the rural police department said late Thursday evening.
Joe Lloyd and Darrell Anderson face charges of aggravated rape of minor children, a department spokesperson said. The victims are three and six years old.
More arrests are expected Friday.
According to the Wilson Police Department, the investigation began a month ago with a report about living conditions inside a house. The victims were removed and apparently reported abuse to their foster parents.
"The little girls felt comfortable talking with their foster parents about what was going on," Chief Kenny Stewart said in an exclusive interview with WBRZ. "[The foster parents] were able to contact our department so we could follow our investigation into the allegations of abuse."
Wilson is in East Feliciana near the Mississippi state line.
