BATON ROUGE - An era in Baton Rouge radio ends today, as S.J. and Mickey Montalbano recorded their last edition of "Jukebox Legends."

The show will air in its usual slot Saturday evening from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. It ends the Montalbanos' 9-year run hosting the show together.

The brothers say leaving the studio is bittersweet, but they accomplished what they wanted.

"What I wanted to do was preserve the music, keep it alive. And it is.  People do accept the music, even young people come up to Mickey and I and say, boy, we love that Wilson Pickett, or that Otis Redding. That was long before you were born," said S.J.

Even though their final show airs Saturday, "Jukebox Legends" will go on with new hosts and the Montalbanos will stick around to lend a hand when needed.
