Monroe teen enters plea in deaths of parents
A 15-year-old West Ouachita High School student indicted in the deaths of his parents has pleaded of not guilty by reason of insanity.
The News-Star reports the teenager entered his plea Wednesday before state District Judge Daniel Ellender in Monroe.
The teen is accused of killing his parents, Johnny and Tammy Fletcher, between the evening hours of Sept. 9 and the early morning of Sept. 10.
He was arrested at school on Sept. 10.
He is being held at Ouachita Correctional Center.
Bond was set at $2.5 million.
