The Monroe City School Board will interview three superintendent candidates next week.
The board will interview Lionel Jackson, assistant superintendent of Tangipahoa Parish schools; Kathleen Harris, an assistant superintendent in the Raytown School District of Kansas City, Mo.; and Cole Pugh, superintendent of Eagle Mountain Saginaw Independent School district in Texas.
There were 25 inquiries for the position and 18 completed applications.
Candidate interviews will take place June 7, 8 and 9.
Interim Superintendent Julian Gray is scheduled to leave the district June 30.
