Monday night noise was explosion at Camp Minden
MINDEN - Authorities in Webster Parish in northwest Louisiana say an explosion at the Camp Minden industrial site was the source of a loud, ground-rattling boom late Monday.
The Webster Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that the explosion happened in an underground bunker at a Camp Minden business called Explo.
Authorities planned a Tuesday morning news conference at Camp Minden to provide more details.
There were no injuries reported. Residents said they heard a loud boom around 11:30 p.m. Monday and some said the ground and buildings shook.
