BATON ROUGE - The family of a missing Baton Rouge firefighter called today for the community's support in their time of need.
Jacob Lewis fell into Belle River January 30 while trying to get his boat on a trailer. The search for Lewis' body has been unsuccessful.
Today the family would like the Baton Rouge community to join them in prayer at 2:30 pm to pray for Jacob. They hope prayers will help find him. Lewis went missing around that time Wednesday afternoon.
A jambalaya and gumbo fundraiser will be held tomorrow at the Bogan Fire Museum on Laurel Street during the Spanish Town parade. All proceeds will help the Lewis family.
Lewis was a firefighter in Baton Rouge for about four years.
