BATON ROUGE - The mother of a missing four-year-old boy who vanished Saturday afternoon made an emotional plea to anyone who knows anything about her child's whereabouts.

"This is not like him," Brittni Clark said. "He's clingy. He sticks to me and to wonder off and leave like that, it's not like him."

Clark last saw Jassiah on Saturday afternoon playing outside in front of their home on Robertson Avenue. On Monday an all-out search got underway with local, state and federal authorities joining in the effort to find Jassiah.

"I think he was snatched up," Lesly Reed, Jassiah's aunt said. "It's not like Jassiah just to wonder off."

The child's disappearance culminates an already tragic year for the family. Last month, Brittni Clark's boyfriend was stabbed by her brother, Lester Reed. Tevin Crump then shot Reed. Both men died. Little Jassiah witnessed the entire incident. However, family members don't think that would cause him to run off.

"I have not slept," Reed said. "My focus is on Jassiah."

As the search continues for the missing child, the family called the community's support and police efforts, heartwarming.

"I'm greatly satisfied with police," Lesly Reed said. "They are doing everything in their power. They have not missed a beat. Every time I look around, they're here."

At this point, Baton Rouge Police say no one has been ruled out as a suspect in the child's disappearance.
