Mistrial in driver, cyclist deadly crash
BATON ROUGE- A trial over a deadly crash where a bicyclist died on Gardere Lane ended in a mistrial Thursday evening.
Jurors could not come to an agreement in deciding the fate of Darby Griffin, who was on trial for the crash. After the wreck in October 2012, investigators said Griffin left the scene after hitting the woman who was hit by a second vehicle.
Griffin was charged with hit and run and DWI.
Following the crash, residents in the Gardere area asked for changes to make the road safer.
