Missing woman's vehicle found burned
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies said a missing woman's vehicle was found burned to a crisp in East Baton Rouge Parish this weekend.
EBRSO detectives said 54-year-old Tahereh Ghassemi, who is from the Middle East, has been missing since 8 p.m. Saturday, April 11, when she was last heard from.
Detectives said early Sunday morning Baton Rouge Police responded to reports of a burned vehicle at 9600 Chalma Avenue. The car was later determined to be Ghassemi's 4-door Jaguar, which had also been reported missing. Authorities said the fire completely destroyed the vehicle.
Anyone with information about Ghassemi's disappearance or the vehicle fire should call EBRSO at (225) 389-5000.
