Missing infant returned home; authorities search for father
MARRERO - A 3-week-old baby who was kidnapped from Jefferson Parish has been returned to his mother, and a warrant has been issued for the arrest of his father.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office tells local media that baby Kingston Davis was found "in good condition" Sunday.
Officials say 24-year-old Cameron Davis, the baby's father, had been visiting the child Friday at the mother's home. Davis allegedly pointed a handgun at the mother before leaving with the infant, saying he would kill the infant before being taken into custody.
Cameron Davis is still at large. Officials say Davis may have purchased a bus ticket to Houston, Texas, where he has family.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at 504-364-5300. It's unclear if Davis has an attorney.
