Missing boaters found alive after 13 hour search
LAFITTE - Search and rescue crews found two boaters alive this morning after a 13-hour search near Lafitte.
A Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries seaplane found the overdue boaters waving down the plane. Their boat was tied up to a camp.
The rescue boat was able to get the pair back to shore at Joe's landing in Lafitte.
Search crews started combing the area after the grandfather and grandson didn't return home from a fishing trip.
The grandfather said it got too dark when they were headed back so they decided to tie their boat up for the night.
