Miss. woman dies in car crash in Slidell
SLIDELL - A Mississippi woman has died after she yanked the steering wheel from her husband during an argument, causing the car to overturn on Interstate 10 in Slidell.
State Police say 25-year-old Lauren Gregor of Gautier (GO-shay) was not wearing her seat belt. They say she was thrown from the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu when it spun from the highway and flipped shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Gregor's husband, 24-year-old Cody Rafter, was wearing his seat belt and received minor injuries.
State Police say Rafter was sober at the time, but took a routine blood test.
