Miss USA host Todd Newton
BATON ROUGE- Baton Rouge has shown off their best features to the 51 women competing in the Miss USA Pageant. Now, it's the contestants' turn. Todd Newton, one of the pageant's hosts, stopped by 2une In this morning to tell News 2's Kylie Dixon what to expect on Sunday night.
Newton is an entertainment personality, Emmy award-winning game show host, and author. He says he couldn't be more excited to host the pageant.
"These young ladies have worked their tails off," said Newton. "They've sacrificed social lives and put everything else on hold for this Sunday night. When you put it in that perspective you can really respect how much is going on."
Newton will host the pageant with former Miss Wisconsin USA, Alex Wehrley. OK! TV's Julie Alexandria will be providing the backstage commentary. The pageant will be held Sunday night at the Baton Rouge River Center.
You can watch the pageant locally on WBTR TV, broadcast on channel 41, Cox cable channel 19, AT&T U-verse channel 19 and Eatel cable channel 144.
