Miss USA contestants get a taste of Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - Contestants for the Miss USA pageant got up close and personal with some staples of Louisiana cuisine Friday.
The contestants toured Tony's Seafood Friday morning, seeing how the Gulf's largest seafood market processes and sells 50,000 pounds of live and boiled crawfish in a single day.
The tour is part of several events leading up to the pageant on June 8. The group visited Nottoway Plantation Thursday, and have a traditional crawfish boil scheduled among other events this weekend.
News 2's Jessica LeBlanc will have more on the Miss USA tour through Baton Rouge tonight starting at 4 p.m.
