BATON ROUGE - Lines formed outside city court in Baton Rouge this morning as people waited to pay off fines before the misdemeanor jail re-opens next week.
After Monday, June 18, people with outstanding misdemeanor warrants in East Baton Rouge Parish could be arrested and taken to the city jail. The program cleared thousands of backlog warrants out of law enforcement agencies' systems the last time the jail was opened.
