Miles says car wreck won't sideline top WR Dural
BATON ROUGE - LSU coach Les Miles says leading receiver Travin Dural "will play" against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday night despite injuries from a car accident last weekend.
Miles says Dural returned to practice Wednesday after missing the first couple practices of the week because of what the coach called a "soft tissue injury" to Dural's forehead which required stitches.
Miles says Dural, who has six catches for 291 yards and four touchdowns, was trying to help a friend find misplaced keys when the accident happened.
Baton Rouge police have said the accident occurred at 3 a.m. Sunday when Dural made a left turn into the path of a sports utility vehicle.
Police have said there was no indication Dural was impaired at the time of the accident near LSU's campus.
