Miles, LSU staff attend LHSCA coaches convention
BATON ROUGE - While high school football coaches around the state took time to listen to Les Miles, the LSU head coach and his staff took the opportunity to forge better relationships with the coaches at the Louisiana High School Coaches Association's Summer Coaches Clinic on Tuesday at the Crowne Plaza hotel.
Miles delivered a speech on handling crisis situations within a football program, citing Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and two double-overtime losses in 2007 on the way to a national championship as examples.
Meanwhile, his coaching staff met and spoke with coaches from around the state, a group that Miles thanked for their work in producing not only top talent, but quality young men.
