Miles gets pay raise
BATON ROUGE- The LSU Board of Supervisors signed-off on a pay raise for the school's head football coach, Les Miles.
Sports 2 Director Michael Cauble Tweeted that there were "no questions, no opposition" to the increase.
Miles received a $549,000 annual pay raise. The change bumps his salary to $4.3 million a year and extends his contract through the 2019 season.
Miles and Athletics Director Joe Alleva agreed to the new deal in December, after Arkansas contacted Miles about its then-vacant head-coaching job.
The pay hike comes at the same meeting where leaders were getting an update on the latest round of state budget cuts to the LSU campus.
