Michael Marsh rejoined the WBRZ team in August of 2005. He is the co-anchor of News 2 Louisiana at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. From 1977 to 1982, Michael served as both a reporter and weekend anchor at the station, and he previously anchored the weekend newscasts after his return to WBRZ.

Michael was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received a Bachelors Degree in Journalism from LSU. With 37 years of broadcast experience, he has worked at many stations: KPIX-TV in San Francisco, KMGH-TV in Denver, WSB-TV in Atlanta, WBTV-TV in Charlotte, and WDSU-TV in New Orleans. Immediately prior to rejoining the WBRZ team, Michael served as the co-anchor at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts for WCIA-TV in Champaign, Illinois.

Michael has received numerous newscast awards, including the UPI Award for Economics Reporting. The Louisiana Associated Press has named WBRZ News 2 at 10 pm  'Louisiana's Best Newscast' in 2011 and 2012.

"Michael brings decades of journalistic experience from around the nation and right here in Louisiana.  He's covered the folks in our area, knows Louisiana and lives in Baton Rouge. It's truly a homecoming," says WBRZ News Director Chuck Bark.

Michael now resides in Baton Rouge with his wife. When Michael is not working, he enjoys reading about history, playing golf, and gardening. He's also an avid sports fan, especially any sports involving LSU.
