BATON ROUGE - Councilwoman C. Denise Marcelle wants to lower the food sales requirements of bars and restaurants in order to stay open on Sundays.
Currently food sales must meet 60 percent of a restaurants total monthly sales. Marcelle wants to lower that number to 55 percent in the parish and 50 within the Downtown Development District.
The Metro Council is taking up the issue right now. We'll have more on any decisions that are made later on News 2 at 10.
