A Metairie man is in jail after he was caught with hundreds of counterfeit money orders.
State Police Troop B says investigators discovered a FedEx package containing 325 bogus money orders being sent to 54 year old Brian Kent.
It was sent from Nigeria.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carried out a controlled delivery of the package.
After Kent accepted the package, investigators searched his car and home.
About 700 counterfeit money orders and checks were recovered as well as a check scanning machine.
Kent is jailed on fraud, mail fraud and smuggling charges.
