Men's Health Month with the 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - June is Men's Health Month. In accordance, the 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge is hosting a pair of events focusing on men's health. John F. Smith and Kathy Victorian stopped by 2une In Monday to talk about the events.
The first is a prostate screening this Saturday, June 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge (2050 North Foster Dr.). Amerigroup Louisiana will provide educational materials and Our Lady of the Lake Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center will conduct the prostate exams, in addition to other health screenings. The second event is 2014 HIV Teen Summit and Concert on Saturday, June 28th at 6:00 p.m. at the Baton Rouge River Center. It is in partnership with the Mayor's Healthy City Initiative. For more information, check out this link.
