The 11 workers who were killed when the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded will be remembered in a memorial service this afternoon in Jackson, Miss.

The explosion triggered a massive leak that's been spilling into the Gulf of Mexico for more than a month.

BP's attempts to stop the leak so far have failed, but it hopes to try a "top kill" tomorrow which would plug the gusher with heavy mud and cement.
