BATON ROUGE - Ascension and Livingston Parishes announced separate meetings to discuss a potential parkway linking both parishes.

Parish leaders continue discussing a highway between Hwy. 190, Interstate 12 and I-10.

In a news release, Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez sent out the following:

"Livingston Parish will host their public meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 6 p.m.to 8 p.m. at the Livingston Parish Health Unit. The health unit is located at 29261 South Frost Road, Livingston. For questions or to arrange disability assistance call (225) 686-2266."

Ascension Parish's meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lakeside Primary School, 16500 state Route 431, Prairieville. For questions or to arrange disability assistance call 225-450-1012.
