Meeting to discuss new school zones
BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Parish School District will hold community meetings this week to discuss a new proposal to create four regional attendance zones.
The proposal is designed to give parents a choice of schools within a specified area, instead of the school that is designated to their zone.
The first meeting is tonight at 6 p.m. at Capitol Elementary. The next will be Tuesday at Scotlandville High, then Wednesday on Nov. 14 at Woodlawn High both at 6 p.m. The last meeting is Thursday, Nov. 15 at Glen Oaks High School at 6:30 p.m.
News 2's Brittany Weiss will have more on this meeting and the new zoning proposal tonight.
