A woman in the Czech Republic couldn't figure out the pain she felt five months after she had surgery, until now. Doctors discovered they left a foot-long medical tool inside her abdomen. It was a spatula-like instrument they used during her gynecological surgery. The top regional medical officer apologized to 66-year-old Zdenka Kopechkova and the clinic plans to compensate her. CT24 television says she plans to sue even though four clinic employees had been punished.
