WBRZ - Baton Rouge

Update: The Baton Rouge Fire Department says fire at the McDonald's on Government Street is now under control.

The fire was contained to the attic of the restaurant, but everything below sustained water damage.

BRFD says its investigators are still working with the owner and insurance agents. There is no word yet on a damage estimate.

Both eastbound lanes on Government Street are still closed. Traffic is being directed on to North Boulevard. Westbound lanes are open at this time.
