Mayor to host community meetings to address crime

BATON ROUGE - Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome has announced plans for several community meetings to address crime in the Baton Rouge area.

The mayor will host four "call to action" meetings which will feature large and small group discussions about community engagement; time to plan actionable steps; and a community commitment pledge. The meetings will be held simultaneously from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 10.
